Waterfront Thatchers is a proudly South African small business founded in 1995, specialising in high-quality thatching solutions for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. Over the years, we have become one of the leading thatching companies in South Africa, built on a foundation of tradition, innovation, and a passion for natural design. We are located in the Waterberg region of Warmbaths (Bela-Bela), Limpopo.

The company was established by Cobus Maritz, whose vision and craftsmanship laid the groundwork for decades of success. In 2008, Gert Bronkhorst joined the team, working closely with Cobus and gradually taking over daily operations and roof design. In 2017, Gert became the new owner of Waterfront Thatchers, continuing the legacy with renewed energy and a commitment to excellence.

We have constructed thatch roofs across Limpopo, North West, and Mpumalanga provinces, with some projects extending into Gauteng as well.
